E.L.F.'s Summer Ready Dusk Eyeshadow Collection

I picked up the new Summer Collection for E.L.F. It came with 4 eyeshadow duos and an eyeliner fused to an eyeshadow brush.





To be honest, I was disappointed with the color selection of this collection. I know it's DUSK but in my opinion, I think they could have come up with different colors than the black, silver, light & dark brown shadow colors. The blue duo was what I was most excited to try, but the color pay off didn't match the vibrancy you see in the duo.
The black pencil liner had good color pay off and saves space with the brush attached to the end.
This would be a good collection to pick up if you were in need of basic eyeshadow colors.

Tribal Nails & Nail Pen Review!

When I was at my local CVS in search of a coral nail polish color, the nail art pens caught my attention. I have heard mixed reviews on the Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens. People either love them or hate them.
I am one of the people that hate them.It took forever for the product to come out (I even stored it upside in anticipation of this happening, but it didn't help). At first the product was very thin and watery, even after shaking it. I had to re-draw the design on my thumb at least 4 times before it semi-started to show up. The product also came out watery, resulting in a smudgy mess on my nail. After a bit of time, the product came out to be a brighter white, but I still went over each design twice. The product almost instantly faded/rubbed off after drying. The design on my nails was completely erased after 5 hours of wear. I have never tried nail pens, but I am guessing this is not normal.
Using the pen is easier than trying to draw the design on with a toothpick which is what I've done in the past, but with the Sally Hansen pen, I think I'm better off sticking with the toothpick.

On to the tutorial, I used Sally Hansen nail polish #11 Sonic Bloom all over my nails.


Any fun summery color will work great for this.
Next, I drew the designs on with the nail pen.

Since using the pen was not as successful as I hoped, I drew the design on a sticky note so it's easier to tell what I did.

Go-To Look for Summer!

Since the end of Spring I have found myself using this makeup look as my everyday makeup. I LOVE it! It had color, but isn't wild or intense. Doing a nude eye everyday can get boring so add light colors to make your look more interesting. I even added teal eyeliner for more color. Click THIS to see the tutorial I made. CoverGirl Blush in Minx-contoured with
Mary Kay Blush in Shy Blush-put a little on the apples of my cheeks
Urban Decay Naked Palette: Virgin-all over lids

MAC eye shadows:
Paradisco- Put on outer third of the lid and into the crease

Da Bling- Place in crease


Grain – Blend out Da Bling with this in the crease

Mary Kay eye shadow in Sweet Cream (an opaque white shadow) on the brow bone
Prestige Eyeliner in #13 Big Teal

Outfit of the Day!

So this will be my first posting OOTD here on my blog, but it's my 4th one on You Tube. (To see the vid, click this!)
The tank top is by Lauren Conrad which I got at Kohl’s.

I LOVE the pattern on this shirt and the ruffle detail on the front. I loved it so much; I got another in lavender haha.

This tank along with the light pink blazer is a match made in heaven. The blazer is also by Lauren Conrad and can be found at Kohl’s.

I love the floral pattern on the inside of the jacket.

The khaki skirt is from Forever 21 and the belt I paired it with I found at Plato’s Closet.

My shoes are a nude peep-toe pump with a wooden heel and ruffles on the front which I got on SALE at Charlotte Russe. They were only $10! (:

Beautiful Blue Gradient Eyes for Spring/Summer!

For the end of spring (mostly because it had been freezing/snowing until the end of April!) and beginning of summer I have been doing a lot of colorful looks! For this video I did a gradient effect with different shades of blue. Now, I read all the time in magazines that blue goes great with blues eyes but I have never been a fan until I came up with this look! My opinion has been changed(: This will go great with all eye colors and don't be afraid of color as this is a very wearable look! To see how I pulled this together CLICK THIS!(:
This Claire's Cosmetics Professional Eye Makeup Kit Palette will be my best friend for this trend I'm loving. I'm going to try to put up a look with all the colors.

Products Used:
As always, you want to prime your eyes. This helps bring out the pigments in your eye shadow, prevent creasing, and helps the eyeshadow last longer. Of course I used my favorite, Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin.


Then, using my Claire's Cosmetics Professional Eye Makeup Kit Palette I used the last color in this picture on my inner corner and just all over the lid. I then used the color above that one on the outer 2/3 of my lid and the second to top color in my crease. I took the crease color and lined my lash line with it.


I also used Shattered eyeshadow by Urban Decay and just patted it on the center of my eye for a glittery look to help brighten the eye up more.


Used Prestige Cosmetics Eyeliner in Black on my upper lid.


Topped off with Dior Show Blackout Mascara in Kohl Black.

I used my ELF matte bronzer and Ulta blush in Afternoon Delight.




I finished the look off with my Victoria's Secret Lip Plumper in Baby Pink

Jessie J Tutorial

A new music discovery for me would definitely have to be Jessie J. She has to be one of the freshest, most brillant voices for a new-upcoming artist. Based in the UK, she has had some air time here in the US with her song Sexy Silk featured in the movie Easy A. Her single Price Tag featuring B.o.B (another fav of mine)has also been released.
She is a fashion inspiration to me. Just by watching her music videos it is obvious she is fearless when it comes fashion and style (and her lyrics). I couldn't help but to want to do a Jessie J inspired make up look. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of her here in the US! Click this for the tutorial!

Conair Infiniti Curler

I was in filming mode this week! Two videos yesterday, and I filmed three today!(: I'm not going to put all three up today because five videos in less than 48 hours is a lot haha. But I put a quick one up to have something last me til the weekend. I just filmed myself curling my hair with my Conair Infiniti. The video is sped up because all I did was curl every piece away from my face.
To prep before using heat like always I applied my Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray. Then I just curled away! It took probably 20 minutes since my hair is so long. After I lightly brushed through my hair to soften to curls I then sprayed my Garnier Fructis Anti-Humidity Ultra Hold Flexible hairspray. You can click this to watch the video!
